!Reflection!

・・・Through this class・・・

Actually, I'm not good at researching something and giving presentation.
So it was hard for me.
Especially it was hard when I made a group with someone I seldome talk with, because I'm so shy to speak to other classmate.
I was worry about it, but some students said to me that my presentation is good, and I was entrusted to organize our speech and power point.
So I could try to work harder, to make good presentation.

Some topics were difficult to reseach and not interesting, but I enjoyed the topic which is about autumn festival all over the world.
We seek for the festival in switzerland, called "Räbechilbi".
It was so fun to find pictures of curios, such as elephants, swans and a woman.
There was little information so it was really hard...but I could improve my skill to arrange speech from scanty information, due to this.

However, I think that I was a kind of dictator when I work with group.
I often indicate my group member to do something, and be selfish...I think.
I wish that I could work with my classmates more.
I hope that my group felt annoyed with me.

Anyway, I worked hard in this class, and I THINK, my skill for giving speech became batter than before.

Stady abroad due to NUFS! group 8

Foreign study training

Let me introduce about foreign study training more, in detail. In NUFS, about 300 to 400 students stay 1 or 2 months in total.
According to a date of foreign study training in 2004, 40 students of French depertment went to France in the spring vacation. In the case of Chinese depertment, they have a Chinese study training in the summer term, then 43 students went ti China to study.

However, it's not certain that every student can go abroad even if you are admitted to take study training. In NUFS, university change place to go, oe give up execution because of unstable condition, for example, terrorism or SARS.

Safety for students, is the most important for NUFS. NUFS carry out foreign study training through grasping condition of the world, so it will be possible to take disposal, such as changing destination, postpone, or cancellation. Due to this disposal, students can spend worthwhile time in abroad, and study without trouble.

Mobile phone!!

As you know, there are a lot of mobile phones with many functions in Japan. I know you will be in doubt which one you ought to buy. So, I’ll introduce you three famous companies and each of their merits.

...Soft bank...

If you want a cheap rate, I recommend you to choose Softbank. You can talk with your friends for free when you join “Tadatomo”, which means “Free friends”. A basic monthly charge is 980 yen. Isn’t it reasonable?

...docomo...

Docomo’s mobile phones have a lot of useful functions. You can get reception even underground, for example, on the subway. Moreover, you can watch any movie you like with a system called “Bee TV”. Although the monthly charge is not so cheap, I think that’s good.

...au...
Au is very original. Cameras are as high quality as digital cameras, One of the models has solar battery, and au released sports-style mobile phones which help with your exercise. In addition, the monthly charge is quite cheap too.

So, what do you think of their products and their functions? Was there anything you liked? It’s up to you, but mobile phones are necessary in the present days. Perhaps, you should have one.

Räbechilbi -In Switzerland-

Let me introduce more information about Räbechilbi.
As you can see, people use a lot of turnips to make curios of candles. However, can you guess how many turnips they use? Actually, about 26 tons of turnips and 50,000 candles are used for this! Can you believe it?

These are some example of curios. These are ...

a swan, →

elefants, →

and a woman. →

Aren’t they beautiful? These are all candles which are made from turnips.
At the festival, about 15,000 people visit to see the parade. Not only children but also adults can enjoy this event so Räbechilbi is very popular. Moreover, Räbechilbi entered into the Guinness book of record in 1998 for its world breaking statistics.
If you have a chance to go Switzerland, we strongly recommend you to go there in November and join Räbechilbi.

Lagoon of New Caledonia

I’d like to explain about geography and traveling about New Caledonia.
New Caledonia is located southwest of the South Pacific. I mean, east of Australia and northwest of New Zealand. The area which is admitted as a world heritage, is around 15,000 kilometer square. It has a lot of beautiful islands, so it must be fun.

↓On the map, here is New Caledonia. (It hard to see, sorry)

If you want to go there, you can access from Air Caledonia International Airport with a direct service. It takes eight and a half hours to get there.
If you want to go tour, it costs about 90,000 yen at the minimum and 490,000 yen at the maximum.
I think it is not so bad, isn’t it?

New Caledonia is worth to visit even you pay a lot of money.
Would you like to go there once?
Now, let’s learn its history and know more about there.

Presentation of Kidzania

Pavilion

Let me explain about pavilions in Kidzania.
There are a lot of jobs children can experience.
All pavilions have each professional and they teach about their future work, so children can understand more clearly.

For example, children can work at the police station, the hospital or a mayonnaise factory. They can perform operations or take fingerprints there.
When you work at a mayonnaise factory, you can taste it with fresh vegetables! Isn’t it good?

Furthermore you can get a car license in Kidzania.
They learn about road rules just as car schools!

Or, If you want to try other jobs which are not so popular, why don’t you try unusual things?
Guess what, professional magicians teach you how to perform magic and you can perform it on stage!

If I were under 15, I could go there.
